Harpenden Junior Chess Club

The club is currently not meeting due to shortage of junior players - below details will apply if club starts up again.

Meets at 3rd Harpenden Scout Hut, Southdown Road, Harpenden, Herts

Saturdays 1200-1300

All players under 18 welcome

Sessions are 20 minutes dedicated coaching followed by 40 minutes practice and learning.

Coaching by former county chess champion and Accredited English Chess Federation Coach (also enhanced CRB/DBS checked and approved)

I have coached two players from beginner level to become England junior internationals, and 9 members to become Hertfordshire county junior team players.

Entry to local junior competitions available for regular players, including the UK chess challenge and Hertfordshire junior county championships

Players of all levels are welcome. As above,  I have coached two players all the way from beginner to junior international standard.
